Introduction to the role: We are looking to hire an Paralegal to support the growth of our practice and team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transfer Pricing
- Assist with conducting benchmarking analysis, i.e. conducting screening and finance analysis on comparable companies;
- Extract audited financial statements for comparable companies; and
- Assist with drafting write up for benchmarking analysis.
- Legalization
- Assist with liaising with the embassies on legalization process (e.g. on the required legalization charges, ambassies' operating hour, period to complete the legalization process, etc.);
- Arrange for document(s) to be notarized by a notary public and endorsed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs ("MOFA");
- Submit document(s) to the respective embassies for legalization; and
- Assist with liaising with client(s) on the documents to be legalized, i.e. draft email and letter to notify client(s) in relation to the completed legalized documents and delivery of documents.
- Stamping of documents
- Assist with submission of stamp duty adjudication application for agreements/documents vide e-stamp portal;
- Check adjudication status on daily basis and extract the original stamp certificate from the e-stamp portal once the stamp duty payment is made to the Stamp Office; and
- Assist with liaising with clients on the stamping process, e.g. draft email and letter to notify client(s) on the stamped documents and delivery of documents.
- ESOS
- Assist with preparation of draft Appendices A, B and C;
- Assist with filing of Appendix A and / or C with the relevant IRB branch.
- Governmental / Licensing Application
- Assist with compilation of necessary documents for the relevant application; and
- Assist with drafting the cover letter for the submission of the application to the relevant ministries / government bodies.
- Real Property Gains Tax
- Compile the necessary documents for submission of CKHT forms; and
- Assist in drafting cover letter to IRB for the submission of CKHT forms
Qualifications Requirement:
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply;
- Or if you already have experience as a support executive, conveyancing clerk, or legal secretary but are looking for a bigger challenge and a chance to progress your career path – we welcome your application;
- For this role, you are required to have a thorough understanding and experience in using MS Office, including MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, if you have skills in accounting and data entry – that would be a plus but such skills are strictly not necessary;
- Possess an analytical and thorough approach to your work.
- Have an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on a timely manner.
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
