Job Title: BD & Marketing Executive

Location: Beijing

Superior Designation: Associate Director/Head of Business Development & Marketing, China

Functional Relationships with:  

• Business Development & Marketing team members in China and AP offices
• China transactional practice groups and Beijing based partners and lawyers
• BDMC colleagues in specialist and end-to-end functions
• Other Professional & Business Services (PBS) Colleagues

Role purpose

This role supports the Beijing Office and Joint Operation Office in all aspects relating to the marketing function including events management, marketing campaigns, publications and marketing materials, external websites, media/social media, sponsorships and associations and networking. This role includes a combination of strategic and operational needs

Main responsibilities

• This role will provide proactive, reliable, time effective services to the China offices and will focus on:
• Manage events from start to finish on behalf of practice areas, including client seminars and social events 
• Manage and maintain the client database 
• Prepare marketing collateral material (i.e. brochures, flyers and placemats) and ensure marketing literature is distributed to the relevant offices as and when required 
• Liaise with external suppliers (printers/typesetters/designers) to support the production of marketing collateral
• Assist in the firm’s media strategy both traditional and social media
• Work with the Communications team on the internal and external communication related issues – internal announcement, interview, media monitoring, press release
• Maintain and update the firm public websites and BD initiative related internal websites.
• Support the Firm's sponsorships and memberships (predominantly in Beijing) and proactively identify opportunities for partners to network and build a presence with strategic associations or individuals attending third party events.

Candidate Qualifications/Experience:

• At least 3 years solid experience working in a mid to large law firm or professional services organization, in a similar field.
• Marketing and law degree preferred.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and be highly motivated.
